Common Grounds
Common Grounds Coffee Shop has been a huge success thanks to the support of West Heights. The addition of smoothies and iced teas has been a hit with our customers. Smoothie flavors are orange, strawberry banana, and a mocha coffee. Iced tea flavors are peach and chai latte. They are a refreshing change on a hot summer day. Common Grounds is looking forward to making a donation to a worthy cause from its second quarter profits. Our first quarter donation of $100 went to the Open Door Food Pantry. Common Grounds will soon be a wireless hotspot. Plan on logging on with us later this summer and look for Common Grounds to be open this fall on Wednesday evenings. Stop by and have a look at our new menu and take a dozen cinnamon rolls to your Sunday school class.
Preschool News
We have had a successful summer preschool session. Seventeen children attended and we did an emphasis on quality children’s literature. NOW, IT IS TIME TO ENROLL FOR FALL. If you know anyone who has preschoolers, please, pass the information on to them. They do not have to attend West Heights. The preschool here is open to all children who need a place to learn, be praised, and have fun! To enroll or for questions, please, call Linda at

Open Door
We would like to ask that you hold off on bringing any clothing items into the church as Open Door is currently overwhelmed with clothing. We will still be accepting coats to store until winter for Operation Holiday.
Dillon's Cards
West Heights receives 5% of any amount loaded on the card. This is an important source of funding for our budget. The cards can be used for everything Dillon's offers: food, prescriptions, flowers, gas, etc. Purchase them on the first Sunday of every month in the Nartex, or anytime during the week in the Church Office. Each card costs $5 and comes pre-loaded.
