Changing lives by connecting hearts to Jesus Christ.

Message From The Pastor

It would be an understatement to say we live in "interesting" times.  We are bombarded with all kinds of messages, some of them helpful, many that are unhelpful.  The commercials cause us to ask ourselves, "Am I satisfied with my life?"  "Is there more?"  Then, of course, we are offered all kinds of "products" that will make us "happy."

Christians are promised that we can "learn to be content."  Paul reflects an understanding that life is good even when it is difficult.  "Nothing in all creation can separate us from the love of God" and "all things work for the good of those who love the Lord."

Still, we struggle.  We want more, even if we can not define it.

In mid-September, we will begin a church wide study using the book Treasures of the Transformed Life: Satisfying Your Soul's Thirst for More.  Available in the church office or in the narthex before and after worship, is a gift; a copy of the book for each family.  There are forty days of lessons/readings and we will begin on September 13 as a congregation reading each day.  On September 19, we will begin a six week sermon series based around the book’s themes culminating in our Commitment Sunday, October 24.  Several of the Sunday School Classes will be focusing on the study and I will teach a class beginning September 15 running through October 20 on Wednesday nights at 6:15 in the chapel.

Please don't miss this church wide opportunity to grow in faith and stretch your spirit.

Graced to Serve,

Cindy
