Since December is the month we celebrate the gift of Jesus to us, the Missions Team invites all of you to give the gift of your time, talents and/or resources to one of the following local organizations (or others of your choice) providing help to those in need in our community.  

Youth Horizons - Breaking the Cycle of Fatherlessness. There are several donation opportunities available. Call Youth Horizons at (316) 262-8293.

Wichita Children's Home - Offering the only emergency, temporary residential shelter for children in our community.  There are several opportunities to serve available. Contact Barbara Butler at 684-6581 x208 or email her at bbutler@wch.org.

United Methodist Open Door – Providing food, clothing and shelter to those in need.  There are opportunities to serve during the week (M-F) and also on Saturday.  Contact Tim Stead at (316) 267-4201.

Operation Holiday – A program in service to the greater Wichita community since 1960, provides assistance to families, elderly and disabled in need during the holiday season. Most needed items: new or gently used clean blankets, non-perishable food items with a preference toward canned meats, peanut butter, canned fruits, and cereals.  Contact Ashley Davis at adavis@interfaithwichita.org or (316) 264-9303.

Salvation Army Angel Tree – Through the Angel Tree program, gifts are provided to children in need who would otherwise be left out on Christmas.  Most needed items: Gifts for children under $25 and lots of volunteers needed before, during, and after distribution.  They are also in need of coats - new or gently used - for all ages and genders.  Contact: Jill Skaggs at jill_skaggs@usc.salvationarmy.org or (31) 263-2769 x114.
