Peterson Elementary School is located across the street from West Heights UMC.  West Heights has a long-standing relationship with Peterson, including being their safe haven in the event the school needs to be evacuated.  We believe it is an important piece of our calling to serve and support our local schools.  Peterson is an elementary school with a proud history and strong tradition in academic excellence and connection with the community. Peterson students work to demonstrate honorable character traits each day by demonstrating “Personal Responsibility, Respect, Integrity, and Doing our best to achieve Excellence”.  On the last day of school each year, Peterson has a celebration that requires many volunteers to monitor children at the inflatables, hand out snow cones, play tug-of-war or parachute with the kids or monitor other events for the day.  If you have questions about this mission program and would like more information, please click here - we will get back with you soon!

Where We Serve

Past Service

Would you like to see people in action serving God at Peterson Elementary for the Last Day of School Celebration?  Check it out below!

4 people served today helping students celebrate the last day of school!  Unfortunately, it rained so all the activities had to be indoors.  But, the kids still had fun with the bounce houses, face painting and playing various ball games.

4 people served helping with the Whirly Bird, serving snow cones, assisting with carnival games and applying decals to little faces!  Lots of smiles and warm hearts.

7 people served helping the kids end their school year on a high note with face painting, carnival games, turning on the siren to a fire truck and much more!
