Overview

West Heights UMC partners with the Kansas Food Bank to help rescue food.  Daily, the Kansas Food Bank rescues food and before they can distribute it, product must be inspected and sorted to ensure food is safe for consumption before distributing it.  They are always in need of those who want to serve to assist with the sort process. Servants work in shifts sorting canned and dry goods as well as beverage and hygiene items - up to ten volunteers per hour.  Tasks involve Inspection of product, sorting good product into final categories, building boxes of final categories, trash and box runners and clean up.  To learn more about this program, please click here.  If you have questions about this mission program and would like more information, please click here - we will get back with you soon!
