May 1 - May 28, 2017

Health kits provide basic necessities to people who have been forced to leave their homes because of human conflict or natural disaster. Health kits are also used as learning tools in personal hygiene, literacy, nutrition, and cooking classes.  During May, West Heights UMC will be collecting financial donations as well as in-kind donations to build at least 100 health kits to be transported by our lay leaders and Pastors to the Annual Conference on June 8, 2017.  We invite all of you to join us in hitting or exceeding this goal (or, better yet, let's make enough kits to require them to take a U-Haul trailer)!  We will have a kit assembly that everyone can participate in on June 5th (click here for more information).

Financial donations

If you would like to participate financially in this collection event, each health kits costs $12.  You can donate two ways:

1.  Check: Make it out to West Heights UMC with "UMCOR Health Kits" in the memo.  Then, either bring it to the church office or drop it in the offering plate at any of our worship services.
2.  Online: Donate electronically from your bank account or Paypal by clicking here.  When using the EFT option, please select "Special Giving" under "Apply my gift to:" and then put "UMCOR Health Kits" in the "Additional Comments" section.  For Paypal, make sure you click on "Add special instructions to the seller:" and enter "UMCOR Health Kits" there.
