West Heights United Methodist Church became part of the Reconciling Ministries Network in 2020 and is one of only two congregations in the Wichita are that is a Reconciling Ministries Congregation. The church's Reconciling Ministries Committee, made up of all age groups, became part of the church's lay leadership in 2021.

The Reconciling Ministries Committee promotes inclusion in our church and community.

• Participates in Wichita Pride events and other community events

• Supports Camp Sunflower, a local camp for LGBTQ+ middle and high school youth

• Created a Statement of Support for our transgender siblings

• Hosts learning experiences such as documentary showings and book studies
